Clairvoyance is associated with third eye chakra. This chakra is also called the “brow chakra” and is located slightly above eye level. Clairvoyance simply means clear vision. A misconception is some people think clairvoyance means you can see Spirit right in front of you. However, it is the ability to see images, signs and symbols in your mind’s eye. If you are clairvoyant, you might use phrases such as “I see it clearly”, “Do you see what I mean?” and “Can you picture this?”
If you meet someone and a picture drops in your head, pay attention. Spirit uses a lot of symbols to communicate with people and everyone’s symbols are different. To me a white rose might mean friendship, to you a wedding and to someone else it might have just been their mom’s favorite flower so it symbolizes mom to them. These images can drop in your head quickly and you will think your mind is playing tricks on you. The next time you think your mind is playing tricks on you, make a note of it and see if it is really the other side communicating and sending messages through symbols and images.
In addition to several other claires, I use clairvoyance in my readings quite a bit. I discussed in a previous blog, I use several “claries” at once and it gives me the ability to fully develop the personality of the spirit I am bringing through. When Spirit steps toward me in a reading, they will start instantly giving me information. They will use clairsentience to give me a “feel” for their personality and start dropping symbols, signs and images in my mind’s eye. They try to give symbols that the sitter will instantly recognize as associated with them. If the sitter doesn’t recognize the Spirit stepping up, I have the Spirit continue to feed me information until they are recognized. This recognition process can take anywhere from one minute to five minutes.
An example of this process is a female Spirit had stepped up and had given me the “feeling” of her personality. She at the same time dropped an entire scene in my head. I quickly start describing this scene to my sitter. The Spirit was in a kitchen that needed to be updated. She was drinking coffee and was pulling a beautiful pie out of the oven. There were several other factors in the kitchen I identified, plus described the Spirit’s personality. The Spirit looked down at her feet. I looked down at her feet. She was wearing slippers and as she walked closer to me, I knew the slippers were making a slapping sound on the floor. On top of all the other information, the slippers and the slapping sound they made was the clincher. This Spirit was known to always wear slippers because her feet were cold and the family teased her about the noise her slippers made.
Clairvoyance can be strengthened by working with your “third eye”. Visualizing your third eye opening is helpful as is visualizing things in your mind’s eye. Create an entire scene in your mind and make it detailed. For example, visualize a park in extreme detail with equipment, plants, people, etc. Visualize what a blade of grass would look like if you were to get down on ground level and closely examine it.
Another way to strengthen your clairvoyance is to do work focused on your third eye chakra. If you enjoy yoga, a quick web search will bring up yoga routines designed to open and activate your third eye. Working with crystals such as Labradorite, Lapis Lazuli, Azurite and Dumortierite will also help. Embrace your clairvoyant ability!
